Some of my competencies are working with first time home buyers, coordinating the often stressful, intricate process of selling and buying at the same time, and finding the “right” properties to purchase to rehab for selling or renting. I also love working with the elderly, and their families, to help with their transitions to easier living situations and I am a “Certified Distressed Property Expert”, which really means that I help distressed property owners.

My daughter, Carolyn, and I have been working together on and off since I brought her into the business with me in 2000. In 2014, we formed The Carolyn Gronfield Group (now trueNorth partnership group).

My partner Lauren and I have busy, happy lives. We are surrounded by family and friends. We share our household with our little dogs, Remy, Reily and Rainy and a tank full of freshwater fish. We have four beautiful daughters and four amazing sons (three of them are married to our daughters!), and two beloved granddaughters, Ayla and Mirabelle. We are actively involved in our church, Living Table UCC and I am the coordinator between The Sheridan Project, Folwell School and Hiawatha Elementary School and the volunteers of our church (please ask me about that!). We also share many common interests: photography, music, traveling, gardening, feeding the hummingbirds, movies and reading; Lauren loves to cook and we entertain often.

We have owned many interesting properties over the years, including an 1856 farmhouse in Plymouth, a stone house in St. Louis Park, a custom log home which we designed and built on acreage in Wisconsin where we had Koi in our pond/waterfall feature. Now we’re back in the Twin Cities Metro enjoying living three doors down from Carolyn in a charming mid-century rambler.
